Since being pregnant, I have been recommended to eat more dates, especially in my third trimester. There is lot of research on this and some facts that are really interesting but please do your own research and decide for yourself. There is no known disadvantage of eating more dates, so if that is not a reason to try these recipes I am not sure what is 💁🏼‍♀️🤣🧋🌰🤰

RECIPES

💕 Date and chocolate balls 🥳

(Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, refined sugar free)


Such a great snack and so easy to make and store. They will keep a few days in the fridge and I love having them in my handbag when I go for appointments. Will also be great to make when you are busy in the first few months of baby being around to keep your energy up.


▪️ 7 dates

▪️1 tbsp peanut butter

▪️1 tbsp cacao powder

▪️1 tbsp coconut oil

▪️1 tbsp flaxseed

▪️1/2 cup of walnuts


1️⃣ Put all the below ingredients in a food blender and mix until you get a rough mix

2️⃣ Stop when you have a rough but sticky mix (sticky because of the coconut oil)

3️⃣ Start taken small amounts in your hand and roll them into balls. You can make them as big or small as you like.

4️⃣ Once formed pop in the fridge and they are ready to go. Enjoy!

These are my favourite snacks. Especially chilled in the fridge they are definitely a people pleaser. I have even used them as dessert before 💁🏼‍♀️ oh yes no shame at all in this 🤩


▪️Soft dates the softer and bigger the better

▪️Almond butter

▪️Peanut butter

▪️Hemp seeds or flaxseed


1️⃣ Simply half the dates and remove the stone

2️⃣ Fill with either peanut butter or almond butter

3️⃣ Top with hemp seed for extra nutritional benefits.

4️⃣ Pop in the fridge and enjoy!

💕Morning smoothie (I have this most days) 🧋

(Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, refined sugar free)


I have been trying to keep up with my morning smoothies through my pregnancy as I find it a quick and easy way to get good nutrition into my body. If I am too nauseous I even have it later on in the day as you can just pop it in the fridge. With this recipe you can make it either sweet and have as a treat or less so for your morning smoothie.


▪️2 dates

▪️1/4 banana or 1/2 for more sweetness

▪️1 tbsp chia seeds

▪️1 tbsp flaxseed

▪️250ml almond milk

▪️1 cup frozen blueberries

▪️1 handful of spinach

▪️1/2 tsp cinnamon


1️⃣ Simply put all the the ingredients in a blender and blend them together.

2️⃣ Pour into your glass. Enjoy!


Tips:

1️⃣ I love using frozen fruit as it gives it that nice coolness straight away.

2️⃣ You can leave the banana out all together if you rather it not be too sweet.
